Hillary M Holmes is a writer/poet originally from Kansas City, MISSOURI. She began writing in 2010 as an outlet, but quickly found that poetry is her strongest voice. Her pieces stem from personal life events and her work as an oncology registered nurse. She believes punctuation is best used as erratic decoration and capitalization as optional. In her debut book, The Illusion of Contentment, Hillary works through topics of love, loss, abuse, female empowerment, and self growth. In her free time, Hillary is passionate about napping, breakfast foods, and balancing her love of exercise and cheesecake. She is always ready for traveling and new adventures.
